The best of Heavy Metal will take over Castelar Square in Elda on July 19. The Alicante municipality will resonate with the arrival of the first edition of the RockElda Festival. This free event is part of the "Elda 40 Gra2" programme, which promotes outdoor culture during the summer months.
The highlight of the line-up will be the legendary band Obús, one of the most iconic formations of Spanish heavy metal, performing at 10:30 PM.
The line-up is completed at 8:45 PM by the Eldense band Excalibur, celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, who will make their guitars roar at home. Additionally, the day will begin at 7:30 PM with a performance by Gabrielle de Val, one of the most recognized voices in national melodic rock.
The Councillor for Culture of the Elda City Council, Iñaki Pérez Rico, stated that "RockElda Festival not only celebrates rock music in all its forms but also values local talent and the emotional connection this genre continues to generate across different generations. We invite all audiences, young and old, to enjoy an unforgettable night with completely free access."
The councillor added that "this festival represents a clear commitment by the Elda City Council to a diverse cultural programme that energizes the city and offers quality proposals for all audiences during the summer."
