Nuria Oliver, Director of the ELLIS Alicante Foundation, has been honored at the 8th edition of the Trifermed Awards for Social Impact in Health. The award ceremony, held last night at the Auditori AXA Illa Diagonal in Barcelona (Spain), recognized individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to social responsibility and innovation in health.

In this context, Dr. Oliver stood out for her pioneering work in human-centered Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the COVID-19 pandemic, she played a crucial role in improving public health responses in the Community.

"We are incredibly proud of Nuria's achievements and her dedication to leveraging AI for social good," commented ELLIS, highlighting that this award "is a testament to her innovative spirit and tireless efforts during the distressing COVID-19 pandemic to enhance public health and safety through technology."

- Dr. Elena Carreras: Gynecologist and professor at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, honored for her pioneering work in maternal and fetal health, including the prevention of premature birth and the correction of intrauterine spina bifida.

- Pere Albajar Viñas: From the Chagas disease control program at the World Health Organization, renowned for his holistic approach and strategic interventions in combating neglected tropical diseases.

- Candela and Pulseras Candela: An inspiring grassroots initiative led by 11-year-old Candela, which has raised over four million euros for pediatric cancer research.
