Minister Nuria Montes has urged the central government to reconsider its stance on traveler registration "in light of the tourism sector's rejection." The head of Innovation, Industry, Commerce, and Tourism has expressed the Valencian government's support for the accommodation and travel agency sectors, opposing the Ministry of Interior's position "due to the imposition of a new traveler registration order that places unfeasible obligations on the sector."

"It is unbelievable that it is much easier to pass a border control with an ID or passport than to stay in a hotel establishment," Montes asserts, emphasizing the responsibilities assigned to establishment owners "to be accountable for the accuracy of all transmitted data, which includes bank transfers, credit card information, or payment methods of the transaction."
