Alcoi hosted this Sunday the IV Facpyme Awards Gala, where the Alicante commercial federation decided for the fourth consecutive year to reward entrepreneurs who have chosen to improve and innovate in their respective fields. Beyond the ten awards given, there was room in the event for two recognitions.
One of them was for the Alcoy businessman Rafa Pérez, who is retiring after a professional career of almost half a century. The other was for El Mercat de Novelda, which with its work and effort, ensured this summer that this service did not disappear and continued to serve citizens.

Regarding the Alcoy businessman, Facpyme president Carlos Baño reviewed his professional career, which goes beyond representing the third family generation in charge of Selecciones Rafael SL business. In this regard, he recalled that in 2006 he joined the board of the Alicante federation, and from 2011 he assumed the vice-presidency of the entity for three years, in addition to having led since 2000 the Regional Association of Entrepreneurs of Alcoi (ACECA). "Rafael has helped improve the commercial environment throughout the province of Alicante. His career watching over merchants' interests is an example," Baño asserted.
Regarding the reopening of the Novelda Market in its new and provisional facilities, Baño highlighted the initiative as an example of successful public-private collaboration, which has allowed hosting 43 stalls that will serve citizens during the time that works last in the Supply Market building to provide a temporary solution to merchants so they can continue their activity.
