La Nova Cuina Shines as Dénia's Representative at the First Edition of the Historias con Delantal Alicante Awards

Following the award ceremony honouring key figures in Alicante's gastronomy, La Nova Cuina offered a carefully curated free tasting open to the public.

La Nova Cuina restaurant in Dénia emerged as one of the main highlights at the inaugural Historias con Delantal Awards, organised by TodoAlicante and held on May 26 at Alicante's Casa del Mediterráneo. It was the only establishment from Dénia present at this high-level gastronomic event, setting a high standard for its local cuisine.

After the awards ceremony honouring key figures in Alicante's gastronomy, La Nova Cuina offered a carefully curated free tasting open to the public. A showcase of their usual menu, full of Mediterranean identity, refined technique, and a clear homage to seafood.

-Artisan mussel croquettes, made with smooth béchamel and generous pieces of the mollusc, impressed with their deep flavour and light texture.

-Homemade sepia stew coca, a bite of thin dough with a base of traditional stew, potent, marine, and full of Dénia character.

The sweet finale was led by one of La Nova Cuina's most famous desserts: their deconstructed cheesecake, a fine mille-feuille with light cream and fresh red fruits. Elegant, original, and balanced, this dessert has gained fame as one of the most demanded for its uniqueness, careful presentation, and contrast of textures.

The most visual moment came with live cocktail making, led by the restaurant's own mixologist. In a corner of the room, almost turned into a stage, he prepared several signature cocktails on the spot with local products —citrus, aromatic herbs, and selected liquors— delighting both with their freshness and the spectacle of their preparation. A complete sensory experience, matching La Nova Cuina's gastronomic proposal.

La Nova Cuina's presence at this event was no coincidence: it proudly represented the culinary essence of Dénia, supporting with actions what TodoAlicante's article highlights as the soul of the event: "the cocktail will be possible thanks to the support of a group of brands committed to gastronomy and local products."

Through its participation, La Nova Cuina reinforced its commitment to the environment, advocating for a cuisine rooted in product but dressed in avant-garde, and reminding that Dénia —UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy— has its own voice in any major sector event.
