The Alicante Tram is gearing up for the Hogueras and announces the first special services for the city's major festivities. The schedules of several lines will be extended this Saturday, June 7, due to the ninot parade.
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has announced that the Alicante Tram will run until 3 a.m. to facilitate travel expected in the city for the second Hogueras parade.
The new extended schedules of the Alicante Tram will also be replicated a week later, on Saturday, June 14, to facilitate travel and journeys during the Entry of Bands and Commissions parade.
Lines 2, 3, and 4 of the Alicante Tram will extend their usual schedule so that all those who decide to attend the pre-festival parades of Hogueras can return home comfortably, without having to use their private vehicles.
There will be 60 trams connecting the centre of Alicante with the usual destinations during these two weekends, with special schedules and extraordinary services, prior to the Hogueras festivities.
FGV is scheduling this special night service with mostly double-composition trams. These will also run on Sunday to double the seats on journeys to the mascletàs.
Line 2 (Luceros-Sant Vicent del Raspeig) will offer the most services, with 26 circulations, thirteen in each direction. The first special service will depart from Luceros at 10:39 p.m. and the last at 2:24 a.m. From Sant Vicent, the first will leave at 11:09 p.m. and the last at 2:54 a.m.
Line 3 (Luceros-El Campello) will offer twelve outbound and three return trips, 15 in total. The first will leave Luceros at 11:19 p.m. and the last from the same station at 3:39 a.m. On the return, the first will depart from El Campello at 10:10 p.m. and the last at 11:10 p.m.
This route will be reinforced with the last three circulations departing from Hospital Vila (10:45 p.m.; 11:05 p.m.; and 11:35 p.m.) which usually end their journey at El Campello, and on Saturday will continue to Luceros with optional stops at all stations, except Sangueta, as L-3 does.
Line 4 (Luceros-Plaza La Coruña) will launch sixteen circulations, eight units on the outbound route, the first at 10:59 p.m. from Luceros and the last at 2:29 a.m. From Plaza La Coruña, there will be another eight circulations, the first at 11:30 p.m. and the last at 3:00 a.m. towards Luceros.
