Several consecutive calls during the early hours to CIMACC 091 from witnesses who reported having seen two forceful robberies at shopping centers in Alcoi alerted the National Police. The officers identified the suspect, a 39-year-old Spanish man, and conducted searches until they apprehended him.
The incidents occurred in the early hours of August 1st when a witness contacted CIMACC 091 to report having just seen an individual breaking the access door of a commercial establishment and fleeing the scene.
A police unit attached to the Local Citizen Security Brigade began a search of the area for the alleged perpetrator. Simultaneously, another call was received at the National Police Command and Control Intelligent Coordination Center - Room 091.
This call reported another incident committed at a different store. The officers on site gathered information and conducted investigations, which eventually led them to identify the perpetrator of both robberies. They then continued their patrols in the vicinity, conducting searches and successfully locating the identified suspect.
Among the suspect's belongings, officers found various narcotic substances, items stolen from one of the burglarized stores, cash, and a large knife.
The National Police seized these items and arrested him. After completing the necessary procedures at police headquarters, the detainee was brought before the Alcoi Duty Court of Instruction.
