Israeli troops are retreating towards Rafah, along the corridor parallel to the Egyptian border, in anticipation of the ceasefire in Gaza being declared this Sunday. The designated time for peace, 8:30 a.m. (7:30 a.m. in Spain), has been undermined as the Israeli Prime Minister has warned that the truce will not commence until Hamas provides the identities of the first three hostages to be released. The agreement between both parties stipulated that the militia should inform these names twenty-four hours in advance. However, this morning the Islamist militia cited 'technical reasons' for not yet providing the list. Nevertheless, they have made clear their 'commitment to the terms of the ceasefire agreement.' The exchange of the three hostages for nearly a thousand Palestinian prisoners is scheduled for four in the afternoon.
