In 2025, the second chapter of the University Entrance Exams (PAU) will take place. On July 1, 2, and 3, the extraordinary session of these exams will be held, with 1,961 students from the province of Alicante expected to attend. This represents approximately a quarter of those who attended the ordinary session in June, where nearly 8,200 students participated.

Of those attending the second session in the province of Alicante, 978 will take the exams through the University of Alicante (UA), and another 983 through the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) in Elche. All of them will receive the PAU Key (username and password) via email this Wednesday to access the university pre-registration platform.

The pre-registration application is open until July 4, closing on that day at 2:00 PM. Previously, students received the PAU Key on the first day of the PAU, limiting the pre-registration period to three and a half days, three of which coincided with the exam days, "making it difficult for many students to manage and significantly increasing the stress they are subjected to," explained the regional ministry.

"This measure reflects the Generalitat's commitment to improving equity and accessibility in admission processes and facilitating more thoughtful academic decision-making with more time, reducing the pressure of the process," stated the Secretary of Universities, Esther Gómez.
