National Police Thwart Early Morning Theft at Benidorm Parish

Attempted to steal in the early hours at a parish in Benidorm, but the alarm was triggered, and the National Police acted swiftly to prevent it. Thanks to the rapid police response and the perimeter set around the area, the alleged thief, a 30-year-old man, was found nearby carrying a flashlight and a multi-tool, leading to his arrest, according to the Police Force.

The incident unfolded after an alarm was triggered at a city parish. The National Police's Cimacc 091 Room received the alert and immediately dispatched several patrols from the Local Security Brigade.

Through the surveillance cameras, a suspect was observed inside the building, prompting the activation of a location and containment device to prevent his escape. Officers coordinated to establish a perimeter around the premises, covering potential escape routes.

Minutes after the deployment, officers located him near the building, carrying a flashlight and a multi-tool. Once identified as the perpetrator of the theft, he was immediately detained.

During an initial inspection, officers confirmed that the detainee had jumped the parish's perimeter fence and forced the lock on one of the sliding doors to gain entry. Thanks to the swift intervention, he failed to steal any items. The detainee was brought before the Benidorm Duty Court.
