The Resistienda, the project with which students reinterpret the clothing market, returns to Mutxamel. The event will take place next Friday, May 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Casa de la Joventut in Mutxamel. The centre will transform into the epicentre of sustainability, community, and responsible fashion with the much-anticipated Summer Clothing Swap Party.
The event is managed by students from IES L'Allusser under the coordination of their Economics teacher, Elena Conesa, in collaboration with the Casa de la Joventut. This initiative invites young people, families, and residents of all ages to participate in a clothing swap that promotes reuse, circular economy, and the strengthening of community ties.
To participate in the event, attendees must bring a maximum of five summer clothing items, which should be in good condition, clean, without tears or stains, and with all buttons intact. In exchange, they will receive 'llavors', the event's social currency. With these 'llavors', they can acquire other available garments on that day.
"We want the youth to get involved, to feel that they can transform their environment through something as everyday as clothing. And, moreover, we do it by celebrating, sharing, and building community," explains Elena Conesa.
