Mutxamel Business and Medieval Market Fair: Dates, Schedules, and Activities

The 17th edition of the Mutxamel Business Fair, which will take place on Saturday, November 16, and Sunday, November 17, expands exhibitors with 34 local businesses and entrepreneurs, "a fact that thus favors the extension of the fair," according to municipal sources. Visitors can come to learn about the products offered at each stand, as well as taste and purchase them.

The opening hours of the stands will be from 10:30 to 14:30 and from 17:00 to 22:00, although the closing on Sunday will be at 21:00. The fair will be located in Plaza Sant Roc, Carretera General, Maestro Sala Marco, Cura Fenoll, and Felipe Antón up to the intersection with Calle la Paz.

The Councilor for Commerce and Tourism, Felicia Aracil, emphasized that this time "we wanted to focus solely on local commerce and entrepreneurs, and since this change was made in 2023, exhibitors have not stopped joining." In fact, this year they have 41 stands, as some merchants have requested larger spaces to offer, in addition to products, tastings: "This shows that the municipal commercial fabric supports the exhibition and sees it as an opportunity to make themselves known, as well as to start the Christmas commercial campaign," Aracil indicated.

She invited the public "I encourage you to visit and meet local merchants and entrepreneurs, and take the opportunity to get ahead on Christmas and Kings shopping as some stores will offer special promotions; we must bet on buying in our municipality and thus strengthen our commerce."

Regarding the leisure offer, on Saturday 16 at 11:00 in Plaça Nova there will be a 'Salsation' class by WeDo Transformation, at 12:00 a Christmas cookie decoration workshop by Alicante Gastronómica, which will also offer food tasting and sales during the central hours of the day. At the activities stand, on Saturday at 18:00, there will be a bracelet workshop by Serena Vive. This day will close with a fire show.

On Sunday 17 from 11:00 to 13:00, the 'Wheel of Fortune' Gymkhana will begin, where, with the help of exhibitors, there will be many prizes for participants. The morning will conclude with a concert of Arabic music and dance. In the afternoon, starting at 17:30, the children's cookie decoration workshop will begin with the collaboration of Les Cakes de Laura, and at 18:30 it will be time for relaxation with the 'mindfulness' session conducted by Ana Arques.

For its part, the Medieval Market will, as in previous years, be a very dynamic space, where there will be a constant variety of shows, parades, storytelling, theater, etc., to ensure that the activity does not stop and attracts the public.

The mayor, Rafael García Berenguer, highlighted that "the fair is a great opportunity for local merchants and entrepreneurs to showcase their activities and the quality of their products. Moreover, it allows generating new business opportunities and making their activities known to promote and foster the local economic fabric. This event is already a classic in the autumn calendar of the municipality and region, and the population demands it; as it can be seen how residents and visitors fill the town center and enjoy the medieval fair, our traditional historic center, and the rich gastronomy."
