Music can make any environment more pleasant, including hospitals. Therefore, the HLA Vistahermosa Clinic group, through the ASISA Foundation and in collaboration with the Musicians for Health Foundation, has launched a series of micro-concerts aimed at enhancing the hospital experience for patients.
The micro-concerts will tour the various facilities of the centre, offering the therapeutic benefits of music, endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), in recovery and emotional well-being.
"We are very grateful to collaborate with the Musicians for Health Foundation in this initiative that seeks to provide a warmer and more humane environment for our patients. Music has the ability to relieve stress, reduce anxiety, and accompany during challenging times, and we want our patients to feel that support in their recovery process," says Dr. Concha Giner, medical director of the clinic.
Musicians for Health is a non-profit organization established in 2015. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for people in vulnerable situations and to humanize their experience in healthcare, social care, and assistance settings.
To achieve this, it organizes both in-person and virtual micro-concerts, with special attention to dependent individuals. Additionally, it works towards a more supportive society by promoting musical volunteering.
