Motorcycles, History, and Nature at the 5th Motorcycle Gathering in Barco de Ávila

"Our aim is for people to get to know the area and for Barco de Ávila to become a great motorcycling town," confesses Ernesto González Herrera, one of the organisers of the Motorcycle Gathering in Barco de Ávila, a festival centred around the world of motorcycles that will celebrate its fifth edition from 6th to 8th June in the town of Ávila.

The event has no greater ambition than to become a celebration of the passion for two wheels in a pleasant and family-friendly way, enjoying a route that runs through the heart of Ávila where history and nature blend, and proposing a weekend full of activities and entertainment for all audiences. More than 100 attendees are expected, and the style of the motorcycle does not matter. "Nakeds, sports, trails, touring... we accept all types of motorcycles," adds Ernesto.

Engines start on Friday, 6th June from 18:00 with registrations (25 euros) and a welcome aperitif at 21:00. This first day will be enlivened with a rumba concert by "Los Trastes", and the session will close with DJ Ernes.

The main day, Saturday 7th, begins with breakfast at La Cueva bar where registrations are still accepted until 11:00, at which point the motorcycle route will commence. With a route of about 60 km, participants will enjoy a journey through the Sierra de La Nava, passing through Umbría, the Galin Gómez lagoon, the La Nava lagoon, Navalonguilla, the ancient Roman bridge of Tormellas... An opportunity to discover the charming nature of the province of Ávila, to enjoy riding a motorcycle while discovering the majestic landscapes and the rich heritage of the area.

After the route, lunch is at 15:00, and in the afternoon the little ones will have time to play in the bouncy castle. The strong emotions will arrive from 20:00 with a spectacular stunt show by Cuadrado Stunt, and after dinner, a new night route departing from the bullring. A new concert, this time with music from the 80s, 90s, and 00s, will close the night. On Sunday, after breakfast, the event will bid farewell, which will also carry out numerous raffles: among the registered, nights in hotels, baskets, or helmets; and for those who buy a ticket for 2.5 euros, two tickets for the Portuguese GP and a 250 euro voucher will also be raffled.
