The Alicante Tram will make a global impact during Hogueras. For the second consecutive year, as highlighted by President Carlos Mazón during a visit to the central station's construction site, the Generalitat has launched uninterrupted tram services during the major days of June.
Thus, the convoys will cover 45,200 kilometres, equivalent to the Earth's equator. Specifically, "one point one (1.1) turns," noted the head of the Consell, after criticising the previous Botánico government for leaving Alicante without Tram service during Hogueras nights.
The uninterrupted service, meaning 24 hours a day, of the Alicante Tram will start on June 20, the night of the plantà, and will remain operational until the early hours of June 25, after the cremà of the bonfires. "It is designed for locals, festival-goers, and visitors."
In this way, the Alicante Tram lines originating and departing from Luceros station will offer 120 hours of uninterrupted service, a figure of "magnitude," acknowledged President Mazón. At the same time, FGV's forecasts are for 530,000 users to use the tram during Hogueras.

Tram Schedules for the Entrance of Bands and Commissions
The Alicante Tram will offer special night service this Saturday, June 14, until 3 a.m. due to the Entrance of Bands and Commissions of the Alicante Bonfires. Tram lines 2, 3, and 4 will extend their usual schedule so that all those who decide to attend the parade can return home comfortably, without having to use their private vehicles. In total, 60 trams will connect the centre of Alicante with the usual destinations of the lines and the opposite route. Line 2 (Luceros-San Vicent del Raspeig) will have 26 circulations, with the first special service departing from Luceros at 10:39 p.m. and the last at 2:24 a.m. Line 3 (Luceros-El Campello) will offer twelve outbound and three return trips. The first will leave Luceros at 11:19 p.m. and the last at 3:39 a.m. Line 4 (Luceros-Plaza La Coruña) will operate 16 circulations, the first at 10:59 p.m. from Luceros and the last at 2:29 a.m. The trams will not stop at Sangueta.
With this, Mazón detailed that this uninterrupted service of the Alicante Tram will allow 240,000 private vehicles to stay at home and "save 300,000 euros" in fuel costs, in addition to preventing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Also, the uninterrupted service of the Alicante Tram during Hogueras will offer a total of 2,924 circulations across all lines: L1 connecting Luceros with Benidorm, L2 heading to San Vicente del Raspeig, L3 towards El Campello, and L4 heading to Plaza La Coruña at San Juan beach.
More security on the Alicante Tram
For the Alicante Hogueras, the Tram adds more personnel, including 15 new drivers, 27 station agents, ten inspectors, and two traffic managers, detailed President Mazón on Monday regarding the works of the city's new intermodal station.
Additionally, FGV will reinforce security with 155 guards who will board the trams during the major days of Hogueras. This is expected to minimise the number of incidents in the uninterrupted service. Cleaning of stations and convoys will also be enhanced.
