More Power Outages in Alicante: These are the City Neighbourhoods and Other Municipalities that Will Be Without Electricity

The city and province of Alicante will experience new power outages this week, until 16th May. The electricity company Iberdrola has announced temporary power cuts to carry out maintenance and improvement works on the network.

Thus, two streets in the Campoamor neighbourhood of Alicante will be without electricity on Friday, 16th May. The power cut will affect number 1 Avenida de Alcoi and number 3 Plaza de España.

The interruption of the electricity supply in these blocks is scheduled between 11:30 and 13:00 on Friday. Iberdrola insists that if the work is completed before this time, the supply will be restored immediately without prior notice.

Other municipalities in the province of Alicante will also experience power cuts. This includes Elche and the district of Santa Ana, Adsubia, Alcoi, Forna, Mutxamel, Orihuela, and Pedreguer.

It is also important to consider meals, as the power cut may affect their preparation; similarly, do not open the freezer or refrigerator doors to maintain the cold chain.

The company insists on always having a flashlight with batteries at hand, informing neighbours and family to be alert during the power cut, and keeping warm clothing available.
