The Juan Gil-Albert Alicante Institute of Culture reforms the 'Art in Casa Bardín' call in its seventh edition. The Provincial Council's body reduces the selection of works, while increasing the economic endowment and exhibition time for each of them.

This initiative proposes the joint participation of Alicante authors and curators to be part of the exhibition program at the Gil-Albert headquarters for 2025 and 2026. Economically, this year the remuneration increases from 1,800 to 2,000 euros for the artist's collaboration and from 1,000 to 1,200 for the curator.

The deadline for submitting works will remain open until next December 5. In this seventh edition, instead of four or five annually, three exhibitions will be selected for 2025 and three for 2026, thus extending the exhibition time for each of them.

The Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, has invited creators from the province to participate in this call, "whose purpose is to activate, enhance, and give visibility to our artists, along with art critics and curators, also providing an opportunity for the public to gauge the artistic production and contemporary proposals."

The joint participation of 'Art in Casa Bardin' generates content designed for this exhibition space, with the artist's work and the curator's contributions. Additionally, within the framework of this proposal, other parallel activities such as guided tours and a meeting between curator and artist to analyze the project's creation are also scheduled.

On the other hand, the contest includes the publication of the exhibition catalog, in line with the editorial line of the 'Art in Casa Bardín' series. The rules and all information are available on the IAC Juan Gil-Albert website.
