The Minister of Science and leader of the PSPV, Diana Morant, has stated that she sees it as "very difficult" to reach an agreement or form a common front with the President of the Generalitat and the PPCV, Carlos Mazón, to defend the financing that the Valencian Community needs against the Catalan quota resulting from the PSC-ERC agreement.
She assessed the possibility of replicating in Valencia the agreement proposed by the government of Aragon with political forces in that community to defend the financing they require and reject special treatment for Catalonia. "It is very difficult for Carlos Mazón and me to reach an agreement because we do not share a model of society," she emphasized.
She reproached the President of the Generalitat for "with one hand asking the Government for more funding while with the other cutting public services."
Morant once again criticized the Consell's tax cuts, which have resulted in "those who have the most no longer being those who contribute the most," something she reiterated has already caused "cuts" in Valencian public services.
In contrast, Morant has defended once again that "the Government has financed autonomous communities more than ever precisely so they can guarantee public services."
