Mitsubishi launches the new ASX HEV: hybrid, more powerful, and with 8 years warranty

The Japanese manufacturer Mitsubishi has announced the launch of the new ASX HEV, a profoundly revamped version of its compact SUV model that incorporates a state-of-the-art hybrid engine.

The heart of this new version is a 1.8-litre hybrid engine delivering a total combined power of 160 HP, representing a 10% increase compared to its predecessor.

Moreover, the torque has significantly improved, reaching 170 Nm, resulting in a more agile and responsive drive. Thanks to these enhancements, the new ASX accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.5 seconds, surpassing the previous model by 1.4 seconds.

One of the most notable advancements of this new generation is its 1.4 kWh traction battery. This capacity allows for doubling the driving time in 100% electric mode. In urban environments, the vehicle can operate up to 80% of the time in fully electric mode, translating into a fuel saving of up to 40% and a significant reduction in pollutant emissions.

In addition to the improved performance, the new ASX HEV features an optimized transmission that reduces noise and enhances the overall efficiency of the propulsion system. It also includes innovative functions such as e-Drive, which allows electric propulsion powered by the thermal engine, and e-Save, to conserve battery charge above 40% for later use, offering greater flexibility to the driver.

Regarding equipment, the range maintains the Kaiteki and Kaiteki+ versions, which benefit from a strong commercial campaign and advantageous financing conditions (Promofinance). The final price of the ASX HEV Kaiteki starts from €28,690, while the Kaiteki+ is available from €32,890.
