Minor Seriously Injured After Suffering Amputation in Knife Attack in Madrid

A minor has been seriously injured in a knife attack that took place early this morning on Divino Vallés Street, in the Arganzuela district of Madrid, resulting in the total amputation of his left hand, a spokesperson for Madrid Emergency Services informed Europa Press.

The victim also sustained a partial amputation of the right arm and two cuts on the back and lumbar area. Police applied two tourniquets, and when Samur-Civil Protection arrived at the scene, they stabilized the young man and transported him to La Paz Hospital.

The spokesperson, who indicated that the attack occurred shortly before 3:00 AM, explained that the hand was preserved and taken to the hospital in an attempt to reattach it. The National Police are investigating the incident, and the Municipal Police escorted the medical convoy to the hospital.
