The minor who hurled racist insults at Vinicius in the Vallecas stadium on February 18 has reached an out-of-court settlement. As part of the agreement, he will complete 40 hours of socio-educational work, pay the fine imposed by the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance in Sport, and will be banned from entering any stadium for a year. Additionally, the young man, who called the Real Madrid footballer a 'monkey', has apologized to the Brazilian and expressed remorse for his actions in a letter sent to the '7'.

Vinicius's crusade against racism continues to bear fruit. Since June, four proceedings have resulted in the punishment of those responsible for the racist insults directed at the Real Madrid winger, whether in criminal or juvenile courts, the Chamartín club recalls. The club has supported the Brazilian international in combating a scourge that tarnishes football, as has LaLiga, not only with Vinicius but with all players who have been degraded based on their race.

One of the latest incidents occurred during the classic match on October 26 at the Santiago Bernabéu, where Lamine Yamal and Raphinha were also victims of racist chants. The National Police arrested three individuals, one of them a minor, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against moral integrity.

"F***ing black!", "F***ing Moor!", "Go to the traffic light to sell tissues!" or "Shitty Mena!" were some of the intolerable chants heard that day at the Chamartín coliseum after Lamine Yamal sealed Barça's rout and celebrated the goal with Raphinha in front of one of the stadium's stands. The footage of those events, captured by spectators' mobile phones and broadcast rights-holding televisions, helped identify the detainees after LaLiga, Barça, and Real Madrid filed their complaints.
