Another injury for Real Madrid. Eder Militao had to leave the Brazilian national team's training camp this Thursday after suffering a minor muscle tear in his right thigh during a training session with the Canarinha on Wednesday. Militao now joins the list of absentees that includes Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, David Alaba, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Jesús Vallejo, Ferland Mendy, and Dani Ceballos, leaving Real Madrid's defense significantly weakened.

The Brazilian defender returns to Madrid to be treated by the club's medical staff, further filling the team's infirmary. In their last league match against Betis, Tchouaméni and Ceballos also sustained injuries. Militao is expected to miss several matches and will not participate in the upcoming La Liga fixture against Real Sociedad on the 14th at Anoeta. Consequently, he will also miss Brazil's World Cup 2026 qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay.

After a lengthy recovery last season, Militao has played every minute of Real Madrid's five matches this campaign, forming a defensive partnership with Antonio Rüdiger. These matches include the Super Cup game against Atalanta and the La Liga fixtures against Mallorca, Valladolid, Las Palmas, and Betis.
