Marcos Mendes has bid farewell to Hércules as the club begins to make moves in the winter transfer market. The forward has committed to Sant Andreu, the leader of Group III in Segunda RFEF, and said his goodbyes to the locker room this Monday. Mendes was pivotal last season with his 13 goals and was a beloved figure in the team, which is why his continuity was sought last summer. However, the leap in category proved too great for the Guinea Bissau striker, who has not scored in the first half of the season and lost his place following Dani Romera's recovery. Mendes has behaved impeccably, but both the club and the player agreed it was time for a change and to seek new challenges.

Although not yet official, it seems likely that Hércules will strengthen their attack with Spain's under-19 international Yanis Senhadji, as reported by journalist Sergio Sierra and confirmed by TodoAlicante. This forward was on loan from Betis to Tenerife but lacked opportunities and will finish the season at Rico Pérez, as the deal is nearly complete and only awaits finalization. Senhadji was crowned European under-19 champion last summer and helped Betis B ascend to Primera RFEF last season. He scored seven goals and showed flashes of high-level forward play, which led to his loan to Tenerife. However, the first half of the season for the island team has been disastrous, and Senhadji has only played in nine matches.

Born 20 years ago in Sant Feliu de Llobregat, the forward developed in the youth ranks of Cornellà, and Betis signed him to a long-term contract due to his great potential.

The movement in Hércules' forward line seems clear, and technical secretary Paco Peña is now focusing his efforts on signing a reliable left-back. Retu's performance continues to raise doubts, and Torrecilla demands strength and aggression to compete for promotion.

Apart from Mendes' confirmed departure, the futures of players not in the coach's plans, such as Richie Dapaah, Franck Angong, Rubén Cantero, or Rafa De Palmas, remain uncertain.
