Melody faces a summer filled with concerts and performances following her Eurovision appearance, aiming to move past the controversy sparked with Spanish Television for delaying her first media appearance upon returning from Basel, Switzerland, and for cancelling on the show La Resistencia to give an interview to Pablo Motos on El Hormiguero, its direct competitor. However, it seems her health is suffering, and this past weekend she had to cancel her participation in the Aragon MotoGP Grand Prix at the last minute "due to a medical prescription that requires her to rest and avoid travel and high-exposure activities," according to the statement issued by the singer's team.

Without further details on the ailment keeping her sidelined, they explained that "they have been forced to prioritise her health and well-being, strictly following the recommendations of the medical team attending to her," despite the excitement the artist had shown about participating in this sporting event and the international exposure it could provide her. The statement does not mention any timelines and only expresses "deep" gratitude for everyone's understanding and unconditional support. "We hope she can soon resume her commitments and once again share great moments with you," it concludes.

Melody's next performance is scheduled for Sunday, June 15, in Maspalomas. We will have to wait until then to see if the Sevillian can resume her performances.
