"Want to know a secret? I'm back on Instagram," Meghan Markle revealed in an interview with 'The Cut' in August 2022. This return has taken over two years to materialise, as it wasn't until the beginning of 2025 that the Duchess of Sussex reactivated the account she opened in June 2022. Prince Harry's wife shared a video in which she appears casually dressed, in white jeans and a matching silk shirt, running along the beach in Montecito where she writes the new year's number in the sand.
The video, filmed by Harry himself, seems to be a clear statement of intent, suggesting more personal content to come in 2025. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left Buckingham Palace, they also bid farewell to their official Royal Household account. Since then, they have maintained others, such as the Archwell Foundation and American Riviera Orchard accounts, the latter having only one post since March 2024. With this new move, it appears Meghan Markle has chosen to resume her public image projection from a more personal angle, albeit with comments disabled to avoid controversy.
