Meghan Markle, the wife of Prince Harry, finds herself embroiled in controversy once again. This time, however, it is unrelated to the British monarchy but rather concerns the lifestyle brand she recently launched. Specifically, this week she unveiled the logo for 'As ever', a design that, according to the Porreres town council in Mallorca, is a copy of the town's coat of arms.
Despite the frustration, or perhaps opportunity for attention, from the local authorities of a town with just over 5,000 residents, the controversy will not reach the courts. The mayor announced that they will not pursue legal action against the brand of King Charles III's son's wife due to the prohibitive costs. Nevertheless, they will send a communication to Meghan Markle's company to inform them of the situation and to prevent duplications involving the use of a historical and heritage image like the town's coat of arms.
The logo of the new brand by the former actress and wife of Prince Harry, the younger son of King Charles III of England, features a palm tree flanked by two birds and is almost identical, albeit with some changes in colours and details, to the coat of arms of Porreres, located in the Pla region.
