Meet Adriana Vico, the 2025 Bellea del Foc of Alicante

Who would have thought 17 years ago that she would become the Bellea del Foc of Alicante? This is how long Adriana Vico Melgar has been involved in the city's official celebrations, the Fogueres de Sant Joan, in her district of Diputació-Renfe.

This Saturday night changed her life. This young woman from Alicante has become the highest representative of the Hogueras de Alicante, as the Bellea del Foc 2025.

A few months ago, during her interview with TodoAlicante, she explained that the Fogueres are "an expression of who we are," as they are "a reflection of our history and culture."

This is what she has learned during her festive career, holding positions of representation and also management as an artistic delegate and vice-secretary of her commission. She also balances her life as a foguerer with her teaching exams.

Adriana Vico Melgar is a graduate in Primary Education with a mention in Therapeutic Pedagogy. She also holds a master's degree in Educational Innovation.

In her free time, she enjoys travelling, spending "quality time" with her family and friends, going to the theatre, and playing sports.

She also adds the events of the Hogueras de Alicante to her schedule. Her favourite is the flower offering to the Virgen del Remedio. "It embodies the soul of our festival," she says. It is "solemn, full of emotion and gratitude," and also filled with music.

Not forgetting her Bellea del Foc Infantil of Alicante, Valentina Tárraga Quesada, and her dames d'honor: Adriana Torres Martínez, from Sagrada Familia; Sofía García Velasco, from Baver-Els Antigons; Elma García Javaloyes, from Gran Vía-Garbinet; Noa Torres García, from José Ángel Guirao; Alba Otero Sereix, from Portuarios-Pla del Bon Repós; and Carla Vicedo Morote, from Plaza de Santa María.

On May 16, the Bellea del Foc of Alicante 2025 sash will be placed on her shoulder during the proclamation day, which will be held in the Town Hall square.

Additionally, she will debut with fireworks this Sunday, May 4, during the mascletà organised by the San Blas bonfire to celebrate its 95th anniversary, at 2 p.m. in the district.
