An ITV Mechanic Reveals the Best Engine on the Market: "It Has Never Had Any Problems"

In a video that has garnered over 1,500 'likes', Bastida not only offered a small tip on changing vehicle oil but also revealed his personal experience with a car from his family unit, an Opel Astra with an engine that he claims is the most reliable on the market. "We are doing maintenance on our family car, it's an Opel Astra that has been with us for a very long time and honestly, it has never had any problems," Bastida commented while showcasing the vehicle.

For Bastida, the key to this reliability lies in the diesel engine that powers his vehicle, which, although installed by Opel, was manufactured by Isuzu. "For me, it has the best diesel engine ever made, and although Opel installs it, in this case, the engine is from Isuzu, a very reliable and excellent engine," he stated confidently. According to him, this engine has demonstrated exceptional durability, having already covered 270,000 kilometers without any issues. "The car has 270,000 kilometers and hasn't had any problems; look at it, honestly, the engine is perfect," assured the mechanic while showing the vehicle's condition.

Despite some minor issues such as small oil leaks, Bastida revealed that these minor complications do not affect the functionality and reliability of the engine. "It has some minor leaks but honestly in terms of reliability and performance it gives absolutely no trouble," he confessed.

In addition to highlighting the engine's durability, he also emphasized the quality of other components of the vehicle such as the air conditioning compressor. "And it also has a very good air conditioning compressor; it practically uses a truck's compressor," he added, highlighting the robustness and durability of this component which is heavily used during summer months.
