Mazón praises Vox as 'the only party that has risen to the occasion'

On Wednesday, Carlos Mazón marked a 'very important day'. It is the day when, if all goes as planned, the Generalitat's 2025 budget will be approved. These budgets are notable for the significant extraordinary allocation aimed at assisting citizens affected by the DANA.

In this regard, Mazón assured that 'if nothing goes wrong, the budgets will be approved today' and describes the Consell as 'the only minority government in Spain to approve a budget'. Thus, he took a jab at the Government, which continues for the second consecutive year with frozen accounts, stating that the Generalitat 'is too alone'.

Mazón also took the opportunity to praise Vox and criticise the opposition during statements to the media in Alicante, at the Opendir forum. While he criticised Compromís and the PSPV for opposing the regional accounts, he valued 'Vox's attitude' for supporting the regional accounts 'at the most decisive moment of the decade'.

The head of the Consell thanked 'Vox's attitude during this time' and claims it has become 'the only party in the Valencian Community's parliamentary spectrum that has risen to the occasion and wanted us to have budgets'.

The President recalls that both parties (PP and Vox) 'sat down with a common goal' and states that 'Vox has indeed risen to the occasion to ensure the budgets pass at the most decisive moment of the decade'.

There were also barbs aimed at the opposition and the central Government. 'This open door towards definitive reconstruction is opened with the budgets, which we do not see in the Government, which continues to relegate the territory to the background and to the last positions,' denounced the President of the Generalitat.
