The President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, will appear this Monday at 9:30 am in Les Corts alongside the Minister of Finance, Ruth Merino, to announce an agreement with Vox regarding the approval of the Generalitat's budget bill for 2025. This agreement, confirmed this morning by the Palau de la Generalitat, is expected to enable the parliament to approve the budget for the new fiscal year by the end of May.

The Consell will formally present the budget bill next Thursday, according to sources from the regional administration. The PP and Vox have been working over recent months to finalise the agreement for these budgets. Indeed, the parliamentary schedule had to be revised three times after previous announcements of presentation dates were subsequently cancelled.

The 2025 budgets were nearly finalised by the end of October, but the severe weather event (DANA) on the 29th forced a revision. Consequently, the Consell had to extend the 2024 budgets. The 2025 budgets will maintain a similar structure to the current year's but will include an additional budget line of €2.364 billion specifically allocated to cover expenses caused by the flooding on 29 October.

In recent weeks, the PP and Vox have been finalising the details of the agreement presented this Monday. The party led by Santiago Abascal has particularly emphasised the Consell's aid to those affected by the DANA and the PP's support for initiatives proposed by Vox in Les Corts and the Congress of Deputies.
