Carlos Mazón, President of the Popular Party of the Valencian Community (PPCV), emphasized that the party will attend the upcoming National Congress of the PP 'united and with its own voice', aiming to advocate for political proposals focused on the interests of the Community.

He stated this during the PPCV's Executive Board meeting held this Wednesday at the regional headquarters, where the Valencian participation in the XXI National Congress of the party, scheduled for the coming months, was discussed.

The Valencian delegation will include 389 delegates, of which 341 are elected, 42 are ex officio, and 6 belong to New Generations. By province, Alicante will contribute 168, Valencia 128, and Castellón 45, representing 12% of the national total of delegates (3,264).

The party highlights that over 13,000 endorsements have been collected in the Community, an increase compared to the previous congress, which recorded 8,800.

Two working teams to actively participate

The Board has approved the creation of two working groups that will participate in the key presentations of the congress. The team responsible for the Statutes presentation will be coordinated by Fernando de Rosa, alongside Dora Llop (Castellón) and Lucía Peral (Alicante). Simultaneously, César Sánchez will lead the Political presentation, accompanied by Salvador Aguilella (Castellón) and Estela Darocas (Alicante).

Mazón emphasized that this congress 'is crucial', as it will be the last before potential general elections. 'Citizens and institutions cannot continue in this unsustainable situation,' he stated, defending the role of the PPCV as 'the second most represented PP force in Spain'.

According to the regional president, the goal is to have active participation in the debates and present concrete proposals that will be discussed in prior meetings with the territorial network. 'The Valencian Community wants to make a strong impression at this Congress,' he stressed.

He also noted that the party approaches this process 'with enthusiasm' and intends to contribute to the political project that the PP will present to return to the Government of Spain. 'We are working alone from the Generalitat, without support from the central government, and we will continue forward,' he added.

'Valencians have much to contribute'

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the PPCV, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, reviewed the party's and New Generations' activities over the past year. He thanked the work of the provincial leaderships and argued that the Valencian delegation should have a significant role 'as the second community with the most delegates'.

The PPCV's regional coordinator, Juan Carlos Caballero, pointed out that the party is experiencing 'a historic moment' and assured that 'more and more Valencians trust the PP and say enough to a cornered and undemocratic left'.
