The Civil Guard has dismantled a large marijuana cultivation in an industrial warehouse located in the center of Almoradí. The facility was equipped with an advanced automated cultivation system for the 616 large marijuana plants found inside.
As part of the 'Torsi-25' operation, the Civil Guard arrested a 37-year-old British man as the alleged perpetrator of a public health offense. The investigation began thanks to citizen collaboration, which alerted authorities to a warehouse in the town center.
After initial investigations, officers noticed unusual activity in the vicinity, raising suspicions of a marijuana plantation, according to investigative sources. Once sufficient evidence was gathered, officers requested entry and search of the premises, arresting the plantation's manager as he attempted to leave the warehouse.
During the search, it was observed that the warehouse was divided into compartments behind plasterboard panels with concealed doors hiding a sophisticated marijuana plantation . Additionally, it featured an advanced automated system for irrigation, lighting, and ventilation, reducing human presence during the cultivation process.
During the search, the Civil Guard seized 616 large marijuana plants, 79 lamps, 23 extractor tubes, filters, fans, tanks, fertilizers, and numerous phytosanitary products, confirming that there was also an illegal connection to the power grid.
The detainee, who had previous convictions for similar offenses, has been brought before the Orihuela Court of Instruction No. 1, which ordered his release with precautionary measures.
