Marta Carazo has one 'Telediario' left to present, specifically the one scheduled for this Friday at 9:00 PM. The journalist has informed RTVE's News Management of her decision to leave the corporation to embark on a new professional project that will commence after the summer holidays.
In a statement released by the corporation, RTVE expresses gratitude for her commitment to RTVE's News Services and her "tireless" work over the years. In recent months, Marta Carazo, in addition to presenting the second edition of 'Telediario' from Monday to Friday, has led specials such as those covering the Pope's death and conclave from Rome, or the power outage during which the news services aired the second longest special in RTVE's history.
The journalist made her debut on January 15, 2024, as the presenter of the second edition of 'Telediario', replacing Carlos Franganillo, after returning to Torrespaña following three years as TVE's correspondent in Brussels. A Journalism graduate from the Complutense University of Madrid, she boasts a distinguished 25-year career with the corporation, marked by "rigour, approachability, experience, and credibility," as the corporation recalls.
In 1999, she began her professional career at Canal 24 Horas, serving as a news presenter (1999-2007) and as director and presenter of the programs 'Casa de América' and 'A fondo' (2006-2009). In 2009, she joined Telediario to cover Royal Family news. In 2012, she moved to the Economics section, where she was in charge from 2018-2019. She has also been the presenter and co-director of the program 'Europa 2020' (2019-2020) and deputy editor of Telediario 1 (2020). She holds the prestigious Salvador de Madariaga European Journalism Award in the Television category.
Starting Monday, Ana Roldán will present the 'Telediario' at 9:00 PM. The journalist will handle the second edition during July, and in August, Lluis Guilera will take over.
