María García Pamiés: "Bonfires are part of my family"

María García Pamiés acknowledges that the Alicante Bonfires "are a way of life." For this young woman, who has been involved in the festival world for six years, "the bonfire is part of my family." It's a world where she has continuously shared laughter and love for the Fiesta.

For her, the most emotional moment is undoubtedly the flower offering to the Virgin of Remedio, a moment that the 2024 bellea of Polígono de Babel Bernardo Pérez Sales experienced with special emotion.

Among her most enjoyable moments in the Bonfires is the planting of her monument as a representative of her commission. García shared a very special moment during the last festivities with her lady-in-waiting. "In the bonfires, there was an Einstein figure, and my lady-in-waiting and I didn't understand why it was there since the theme was women," she explains. For the candidate, the figure was "so ugly that we put sunglasses on it and talked to it as if it were a person, and it gave us the answer as to why it ended up in our bonfire," she explains with amusement.

In the coming days, García will walk, along with the other 2025 candidates, the final stretch leading to the election of the bellea del foc. A journey she already experienced accompanying the 2019 beauty of her commission when she was an adult lady-in-waiting.

This woman also participates in the board of her bonfire, where she is currently responsible for one of the traditional funding sources, the lottery delegation.
