The Main Theatre of Alicante to Transform into a Comedy Club This Summer

It seems that the renovation and rehabilitation of the Main Theatre of Alicante will take a while. The latest information from the City Council, responsible for tendering the works, indicates that they are working on the specifications to contract the project drafting. After this process, the final result will be awaited, and then the works will be tendered for execution.

It appears that this process will be prolonged over time, as the theatre itself has hinted by extending its schedule of shows this summer, when the works were initially planned to be carried out.

The Main Theatre of Alicante has added a total of eight new shows to the summer schedule. Thus, the break on stage will occur between July 26 and September 6, leaving August inactive due to staff vacations.

Thus, the renovation works of the Main Theatre of Alicante, which will involve actions on the building's exterior and the auditorium of the theatre, remain unscheduled and are moving away from the initially planned summer. Municipal sources indicate they will be carried out when they least affect the theatre's operation.

July will kick off at the Main Theatre of Alicante with comedy shows. The first will be on the 4th at 9:30 PM with 'Scotland' by Txabi Franquesa, followed the next day by 'The Patricia Espejo Show'.

The schedule will continue in the height of summer with the show 'I Have No Remedy' by David Navarro on July 11 at 8:30 PM at the Main Theatre of Alicante, followed by Edu Soto with 'Better Alone Than a Hundred Flying - Reloaded' on the 12th at 9 PM.

Magic will also enter the Alicante theatre during June, with three performances of the show 'Nothing is What it Seems' by Dakris the Invisible Magician: Friday, July 18 at 8:30 PM and Saturday, July 19 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. The month will end with ballet in a new edition of the 'Stars Gala' on July 26.

The Main Theatre will also reopen with the back-to-school season. The theatre doors will open on the first weekend of September with the shows 'There Are More Fools Than Windows' by Raúl Antón in a double session on Saturday 6; and 'Tinder Surprise' by Andreu Casanova on Sunday 7 at 6:30 PM.
