Macron and Starmer to Meet Trump at the White House for Ukraine Peace Talks

International diplomacy takes a new turn as Donald Trump engages in discussions for a potential peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer are set to travel to Washington "early next week" to meet with their American counterpart, as confirmed by US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz on Wednesday.

Waltz stated, "We are collaborating with all parties, and the next step is to send technical teams to begin discussing further details." Macron previously met with Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last December during the inauguration of Notre Dame Cathedral. However, this summit, now including Starmer, comes at a critical juncture for the conflict's future following the US President's decision to withdraw financial support from the Ukrainian government.
