Lucentum Offers Project to Perelló Until 2027 and Will Create a Sports Corporation

Lucentum Foundation will soon establish a Sports Corporation (SAD) for its first team, which competes in the Primera FEB, the second national basketball division, as announced by its president, Daniel Adriasola.

The leader justified this measure in a press conference, stating that it is necessary to "professionalise" the club and explained that the foundation model followed by the entity over the last decade "allows some things but limits others." "It is not professional for the patrons to be guaranteeing. The structure needs to be more professional," explained Adriasola, indicating that the creation of the SAD is a step that must be taken if the entity "wants to grow."

"I know it went wrong more than a decade ago," said the president, referring to the defunct Lucentum SAD, who indicated that the club will inform about the process in the coming months.

Adriasola assured that the entity will not be mortgaged and that the process will last "six or seven months and is not complex." "The SAD can help more people get involved in the project. When the time comes, it will be seen how many people want to participate. The potential of Alicante and its province is enormous, which is why we are taking this step," argued the leader.

The president also confirmed that the HLA hospital chain will continue to be the main sponsor of the first team, and will give its name in the competition, and that the relationship with Grupo Intercity continues, despite differences in the last financial year.

"There is an agreement that has been fulfilled," said Adriasola, who acknowledged that the economic amounts were not as expected due to the devaluation of shares, resulting in revenues being a third of what was expected. "We are close to reaching an agreement with goodwill. The relationship is good, and the intention is to understand each other and not enter into wars and disputes," indicated Adriasola, who revealed that the club will present the season ticket campaign on June 26 or 27, mainly aimed at attracting young subscribers.

Regarding the planning of the first team, Lucentum has offered coach Rubén Perelló a project until 2027 and also wants to renew sports director Asier Alonso, despite his continuity being in doubt after the chaotic season that was fortunately salvaged with the team's retention in the second tier of Spanish basketball.
