Liverpool Footballer Diogo Jota and Brother Die in Car Accident in Zamora

The Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota and his brother tragically died last night after their vehicle veered off the road in Zamora. The car, which crashed at kilometre 65 of the A-52, between the towns of Asturianos and Cernadilla, in the municipal area of the latter, subsequently caught fire, spreading flames to the surrounding vegetation.
According to reports from 112, several calls alerted authorities to the incident. Upon receiving the information, the Traffic Civil Guard, the Zamora Provincial Firefighters, and the Emergency Health Coordination Centre - Sacyl were notified. An Emergency Medical Unit and primary care medical staff from the Mombuey health centre were dispatched. Unfortunately, the deaths of the two men were confirmed at the scene.
The accident occurred around 00:40 hours heading towards Benavente.
