Live Updates | Luis de la Fuente Testifies in Rubiales Trial

Following Jenni Hermoso's testimony, where she confirmed there was no consent and felt 'disrespected', it's now the turn of the coach, the former Integrity official of the Federation, the Communications head, his then deputy, and the psychologist.

Spain's men's football coach, Luis de la Fuente, is testifying in the National Court trial against former Spanish Football Federation (FF) president Luis Rubiales, who is accused of sexual assault and coercion against footballer Jenni Hermoso. Tuesday's statements focus on the actions taken by the Communications department to issue a statement following the alleged assault and the report from the Federation's integrity committee.

In addition to the men's team coach, Tuesday also sees testimonies from Javier López Vallejo (psychologist for the women's team), Miguel García Caba (former Integrity director of the FEF), Enrique Yunta (head of sports communication for the Federation), and Pablo García Cuervo (former head of sports communication for the FEF).

On the first day, Jenni Hermoso denied that Rubiales asked for permission to kiss her after the World Cup final in Sydney. "We hugged, I said 'look what we've done', and that's when he jumped and said 'we won this World Cup thanks to you'. The next thing was his hands on my ears and then the kiss," she stated. She also made it clear that she felt "extremely unprotected" by the organisation.

Luis Rubiales, facing a request for two and a half years in prison and accused of sexual assault and coercion against Jenni Hermoso, sits in the dock alongside former men's team sports director Albert Luque, former women's team coach Jorge Vilda, and former FEF Marketing head Rubén Rivera, for allegedly pressuring the player to justify the kiss.
