The Lexus LBX, the brand's new urban SUV, has come to life in a vibrant, colourful illustration by Estudio Santa Rita, as part of the Lexus Takumi Academy.
This initiative pays homage to the Takumi masters, artisans with whom Lexus builds its impeccable production process, now collaborating to create exclusive pieces inspired by the brand's vehicles.
Palo Graglia and Noel Salinas, the creative duo behind Estudio Santa Rita, based in Málaga, have unveiled the process behind this illustration of the Lexus LBX. From conceptualisation to digitalisation, the work highlights the essence of sustainability and creativity.
The designers have titled their piece "Nature in Motion", aiming for "a tribute to the balance between progress and respect for our planet, inspiring those who see and drive it to imagine a greener, more creative, and harmonious future, showcasing the true interior of the Lexus LBX."
Estudio Santa Rita joins a select list of local master artisans who are part of the Takumi Academy, creating unique pieces in various disciplines inspired by Lexus vehicles.
Among them are Celia Somoza, a ceramist, with a sculpture based on the Lexus RZ; El Espartero de Plata, crafting a straw steering wheel for the same model; La Tapicera, designing a boot cover; Miriam Álvarez (Penajewels), with earrings inspired by the UX window; Lorena Erre de Santeu, imagining a Japan-inspired aromatic soy candle; Cristina Velasco, producing origami wheels; sculptor Ángel Cañas, with a sculpture of recycled tyres; Gonzalo Muiño, illustrating a tunnel book inspired by the LBX; pastry chef Alma Obregón, sweetening the project with a Japanese cheesecake; and designer Diana Beltrán, reproducing an LBX wheel entirely in paper.
Estudio Santa Rita, known for its pop art, surrealism, and explosion of vibrant colours, seeks to create the unexpected and paint a world full of optimism and energy, a philosophy that perfectly aligns with Lexus's innovative and artisanal vision.
