Leonor Reaches Midpoint of Her Journey on Elcano

Midshipwoman Borbón Ortiz remains deeply engaged in the 97th voyage aboard the iconic training ship Elcano. A military and life experience that, as it did for her father the King, will leave a lasting mark on her life and those of her companions. There, she is just another student, seen through the images shared by the Royal Household over the past three months, climbing masts, securing sails, preparing and maintaining the ship, or using the sextant for navigation during her Atlantic crossing.

About to dock this Good Friday in Lima, where they will stay until April 22, the Royal Household has chosen to showcase new photos of the heir to the throne in her daily routine. After Peru, the journey will continue to Panama City, Cartagena de Indias in Colombia, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic before reaching New York to cross the Atlantic back to Gijón, Ferrol, and Marín.
