The Popular Party has 'punished' the PSPV by leaving them without representation in the Les Corts Table after the Popular Party proposed and voted for their candidate, Magdalena González, to replace the socialist Gabriela Bravo as second vice-president. This is the second time the socialists have been outmaneuvered. The first was during the constitution of the Table itself when a pact between the PP and Compromís took a seat from them.

In this second instance, the resignation of former Justice Minister Gabriela Bravo necessitated filling the vacancy. The socialists believed it was their right as the second-largest party in the Valencian Parliament, but the PP had other plans. They presented their candidate, who was elected, much to the dismay and anger of the socialists.

The reason was given after the session by the PP spokesperson, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, who opened the door to "re-voting" the composition of the Les Corts Table to "the representativeness of all formations," provided the PSPV "picks up the phone, calls, and begins to dialogue and seek agreements." In other words, unless the socialists start negotiating the composition of statutory bodies like the Audit Office or the Valencian Cultural Council with the Popular Party, things will remain as they are.

"This is a punishment from Carlos Mazón for the PSPV's opposition work," said the socialist spokesperson, José Muñoz, "but we will not take a step back, we will not be intimidated, and we will continue to denounce what Carlos Mazón has not done, what he has done, and what he has failed to do until we manage to remove him from the Presidency of the Generalitat." Thus, the situation will remain unchanged in the Les Corts Table.

The Popular Party has decided to counterattack against the scorched-earth policy of the opposition, which refuses to maintain contact with the PP. Les Corts remains stuck in the unfortunate 29O, with continuous reproaches to the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón.

The response from the head of the Consell was to boast about the 2025 budget project approved by his government after reaching an agreement with Vox, and he criticized the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, who he claims has "neither freedom nor support" to pass the General State Budgets (PGE). Meanwhile, the PSPV has challenged him to testify before the judge investigating the management of the storm.

Meanwhile, the Compromís spokesperson, Joan Baldoví, reproached him for recently expressing "pride in fulfilling his responsibility." "Pride? Was your responsibility eating at El Ventorro? Was it being missing for five hours while people were drowning, not being at the Emergency Center, and not sending the alarm in time? What are you proud of?" he asked.
