The DANA that has devastated the Community of Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha has affected more than 150 roads, mostly secondary network roads. Both the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) and the Ministry of Transport and Urban Mobility have urged drivers not to drive, especially on roads in Valencia, Castellón, and Cuenca. Additionally, trucks with Valencia and its metropolitan area as their origin and destination can only circulate at night, between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, according to a DGT resolution that came into effect at midnight.
In such situations, any type of travel should be avoided, but if urgency or necessity requires taking the vehicle, it is important to plan the route well and be informed about the weather forecast. Check the interactive map of the DGT at infocar.dgt.es. Additionally, the Aemet tool, Meteoruta, can be used to see the weather along the way. Here you can check it.
On the map, you can see the real-time status of the roads and search for alternative routes when it is necessary to divert. Through a dropdown menu accessible from the platform, users can select the province of interest to check the detailed status of the roads.
