No activity is more quintessentially Alicante than strolling through the city centre and enjoying a drink on the fantastic terraces under the Mediterranean sun. This pleasure has recently been enhanced in one of the city's most iconic spaces. The Canalejas Park now boasts a new kiosk where visitors can enjoy the sunny climate of the province alongside children's play areas.
The La Silva 1886 kiosk opened its doors just a few days ago. This venue, inspired by a bistro, offers a good coffee, a glass of wine, or a snack. All this is available at beautiful green tables and chairs in a unique setting, one of the city's most special parks. With this opening, the offering in this iconic park, which pays homage to the President of the Council of Ministers who was assassinated in the 19th century, is complemented. The new kiosk joins the traditional one located closer to the Canalejas statue.

This new space is not only a new leisure offering in Alicante but also seeks to pay tribute to the year 1886, when the first kiosk was installed in Canalejas. It is a tribute to a park enjoyed by thousands of Alicante residents and one of the largest green lungs in the city centre.
The Silva 1886 menu includes breakfasts and lunches, as well as cocktails and quick snacks to enjoy an afternoon in the sun. This establishment is open from 10 am to 8 pm for the enjoyment of both Alicante residents and eager tourists.
A quality proposal in the city centre from one of the companies that owns some of the city's most famous beach bars, such as La Gallina on Almadrava Beach or the one at Postiguet.
The Alicante City Council installed this new kiosk in Canalejas Park to bring more dynamism to the central and traditional park, which houses some of the city's most monumental and centuries-old ficus trees, one of Alicante's great environmental heritages.
The innovative kiosk was designed by the IP Arquitectos studio, which sought a structure integrated into the park, with ochre and natural colours that blend like a chameleon with the surroundings. They paid close attention to the materials to create a light and transparent kiosk that will shine especially at night when its warm lighting and transparent materials illuminate the area. The kiosk thus embraces the tradition of modern architecture and landscaping, becoming an additional attraction for this park while perfectly integrating with the environment.
