The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 45-year-old man on Friday, suspected of being responsible for the violent death of his father. The alleged parricide occurred in the small town of Alamús, Lleida, which has a population of just 700. The incident took place in the morning. Emergency services received a call early, around 9 a.m.
An elderly person was found in cardiac arrest at his home. Paramedics attempted to revive him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The paramedics, however, alerted the Mossos, suspecting that it might not have been a natural death, as the victim showed signs of violence. The son, who was present at the residence, was detained by the Catalan Police as the alleged perpetrator of the crime. The case is being investigated as a possible homicide.
