Before passing away last Tuesday, September 24, Julián Muñoz recorded an interview as a posthumous legacy in which he reviewed his life and his relationship with Isabel Pantoja, whom he accuses of having kept all his assets. "She kept the money, all my money, I had nothing when I got out of jail, she had already spent it all. Even La Pera, I didn't take a single peseta from there, not a single piece of furniture, not the recording studio, just my clothes." The former mayor of Marbella, convicted for multiple corruption cases, quantified the money he gave to his then-girlfriend at around "80 or 90 million," setting up a recording studio worth about 60 million pesetas in the home they shared.

In the interview for 'De Viernes', which had a special broadcast on Wednesday night, the former mayor stated that he doesn't know what the artist did with the money. "Little or much, she kept it all, she left me with nothing," he recalled. "She left me stranded," he lamented.
