Juanfran Pérez, spokesperson for the Popular Parliamentary Group in Les Corts, emphasised today that "we must rise to the occasion, this is no time for political hypocrisy." Pérez was responding to criticism regarding the urgent hiring of companies for repair and reconstruction tasks by the Valencian administration.
The GPP spokesperson addressed the media following the Junta de Síndics, where the agenda for the upcoming parliamentary session was set. During this session, decrees for aid to those affected by the DANA and the Simplifica Plan will be ratified. According to Pérez, this plan could be useful in the social and economic reconstruction process facing the Valencian Community. It is a regulation that "eliminates bureaucracy" and "increases transparency," objectives that will also be pursued by the upcoming Generalitat budgets to "help Valencians and improve their quality of life."

In this session, the Valencian Popular Party will present an initiative urging Sánchez's Government to genuinely commit to the recovery of the Valencian Community and specify the allocation of the 31 billion euros in aid requested by the Generalitat Valenciana.
The popular spokesperson highlighted that the entire Consell is "working on recovery" and noted that President Carlos Mazón has been, to date, the only leader to voluntarily appear in parliament. In this reconstruction government, Pérez added that efforts are being made to seek "technical profiles, who are very knowledgeable in their field" for this new phase, as demonstrated by the appointments of Lieutenant General Francisco Gan as Vice President for Recovery and Marián Cano as Minister of Tourism.
The popular spokesperson confirmed that the upcoming session will also debate the investigation commission, advanced by Mazón, on the management of the DANA. Within this working group, the necessary appearances of various officials will be agreed upon. Meanwhile, in Pérez's opinion, "society would not understand if politicians were fighting instead of working to solve their problems."
