King Emeritus Juan Carlos I is expected to return to Galicia this Monday, just days before his conciliation act with former Cantabrian President Miguel Ángel Revilla. This follows a lawsuit by King Felipe VI's father over "injurious" statements Revilla allegedly made in various media outlets from May 2022 to January 2025.
The conciliation act, which neither party is obliged to attend as it can be resolved through their legal representatives, is scheduled for Friday, May 16, in courtroom number 10 at the Las Salesas judicial headquarters in Santander.
According to sources close to him, consulted by Europa Press, Juan Carlos I is expected to participate aboard the 'Bribón' in the regattas held in the Pontevedra town of Sanxenxo between the 16th and 18th.
This will be the second trip King Felipe VI's father makes to Galicia this year. The first was two weeks ago, during which Juan Carlos I went sailing for several days and was visited by his daughter, Infanta Elena.
