Jove Español de San Vicente surpassed 6,000 ticket sales this Tuesday morning for one of the most significant matches in its history. The team, led by Josip Visnjic, will face Real Sociedad this Thursday (21:00 hours) at Rico Pérez in the first round of the Copa del Rey.

This match has sparked considerable controversy in San Sebastián, and indeed, Real Sociedad is awaiting a decision from the ordinary courts to see if their appeal is upheld and the match is postponed again. The initial suspension in solidarity with those affected by the DANA caused a major scheduling issue for Imanol Alguacil's team, which is competing in European tournaments. The RFEF set this Thursday as the final date, and Real Sociedad protested due to the significant absence of international players. In fact, players like Take Kubo (Japan), Mikel Aranburu (Venezuela), Sheraldo Becker (Canada), Orri Oskarsson (Iceland), Javi López, and Aitor Fraga (Spain U21) have yet to participate with their national teams.

The postponement and uncertainty about whether the match will finally take place (it seems likely as the ordinary courts rarely intervene in the organization of competitions) have slowed ticket sales. However, Jove remains hopeful for a last-minute surge at the ticket offices on Thursday before the match. Tickets can be purchased in advance online and physically at Jove's offices from 17:00 to 19:00 hours.

The schedule has become so tight for all Alicante teams due to the DANA that two matches will be played at Rico Pérez within just 24 hours this week. Hércules will host Marbella on Wednesday at 20:30 hours in a crucial match for Rubén Torrecilla's team, which has suffered three consecutive league defeats against Atlético B, Fuenlabrada, and Villarreal B. The blanquiazul club requested the RFEF to delay their weekend visit to Recreativo de Huelva by a day, and Madrid approved this proposal, so the match will be played on Sunday. Another concern for Real Sociedad is the condition of the Rico Pérez pitch, considering a match is played the day before.
