Jimten Celebrates 60 Years as a Leader in Industrial Innovation in Spain and Portugal

Jimten marked its 60th anniversary with a celebration attended by over 300 people. The event highlighted how, over the past six decades, the brand, based in Alicante, has solidified its role as a leader in developing solutions for fluid conduction in the building, industrial, and irrigation sectors.

Founded in 1965 by two Spanish entrepreneurs who revolutionised the sector by replacing lead siphons with more sustainable plastic components, Jimten has grown into a national and international reference brand, present in over 75 countries.

Under the slogan 'Unconditional: 60 years being part of us, 60 years being part of you', the brand has launched a campaign to pay tribute to the employees, distributors, installers, and collaborators who have accompanied its journey.

"If anything summarises Jimten's history, it is the word 'Unconditional', because for 60 years we have always been there for each other, being part of the same whole. We have grown together, and no one has been able to replicate our passion for the customer, our commitment to quality, and our vocation for innovation," highlighted Alejandro Vélez, commercial director of Aliaxis Iberia. "Jimten is not just a brand; it is a way of doing things with local knowledge, industrial excellence, and responsibility."

Since its integration in 1992 into the global group Aliaxis (formerly ETEX), and more recently in 2022 with the establishment of Aliaxis Iberia, Jimten has strengthened its commitment to technological investment and international expansion while maintaining its local roots. Currently, it has around 600 employees and over 2,500 distributors.

A study by the consultancy CIMEC, conducted among more than 350 plumbers in Spain, confirms its leadership: 83.5% consider Jimten their first choice for purchase and identify it as the sector's leading brand.

With this celebration, Jimten pays homage to its past and reaffirms its vision for the future: to continue being a driving force for sustainable transformation in the plumbing and fluid conduction industry in the Iberian Peninsula.
